DiMaggio was an American baseball player who’s famous for his 56-game hitting streak. He played with New York Yankees club for 13 years. He was awarded the name of “The sport’s greatest living player”. He had two brothers and they both played as major league centre fielders. DiMaggio had a problem in which his deep left and centre fields were almost impossible to get a home run in.
DiMaggio married the famous American film star Marilyn Monroe. However, they got divorced after 274 days of the wedding on the ground of mental cruelty. DiMaggio’s biographer, Richard Ben Cramer, said that a major reason for the divorce was the incident of the skirt blowing happened to Marilyn in New York’s Trans-Lux Theatre.
